Christmas 2011 Adventures

Yes I know this is severely late but I figure better late than never, right?  This year for Christmas we decided to take a drive.  That might be an understatement.  It took two days to get to CO and three days to get home :)  We took our time coming home and got to see lots of fun things along the way.  It was a very enjoyable Christmas and was so nice to spend time with my new family :)  I have to apologize in advance for the random grey spot on most of the pictures.  We tried to hide it so hopefully you won't notice.  Our camera got a dust speckle under the lens and we didn't have the tools to fix it until we got home.

Sarah and I made a bunch of Christmas cookies! It was a ton of fun:)  Sarah organized a fun Christmas caroling adventure that night so we got to share our cookies with friends and family that came over to warm up after caroling around Salida.

Noah drove me to Mesa Verde National Park after we left the family.  It was so amazing all the structures and history that was there.  It was a nice time to visit too as there weren't too many other tourists and the weather was not too hot.

This is the south entrance of Canyonlands National Park.  We thought that we could take an adventure and drive from the south entrance to the north entrance.  Now I know we should have figured this out but you can't actually get from the south entrance to the north by driving through the park.  It turns out that there is a canyon in the way.

The north entrance of Canyonlands National Park.  It took us about three hours to get here after touring the south side.  It was a good adventure though. We wouldnt' have gotten to see the other side had we not mistakenly went in the wrong entrance.  The views were amazingly beautiful with all the colors in the rocks.
