Four Weeks Old

Four weeks!  That is practically one month!  It is so much fun to see what a difference even just a week makes (even if it really is going way too fast).  She still has a cold but is getting over it.  Her new thing is to fight her morning nap.  This makes her incredibly cranky the whole morning and makes for a very long day.  When she finally does fall asleep for an afternoon nap, she only seems to take a small catnap.  She then wakes up for a bit super cranky until we can get her to really fall sleep for a good three hours around 3 or 4 in the afternoon.  About 7, she wakes up again and won't go back to sleep without a nice warm bath.  Silly girl.  She has so much personality already and a lot of it is centered around her stubbornness.  I guess having stubborn parents makes you prone to stubbornness early in life.  

Since her sleeping has been very hard to come by, we have moved her to waking up every 5 hours at night.  She sometimes makes it 5 hours on her own and sometimes only makes it 4.  We don't really mind though since it is such an improvement from the 3 hours at a time we used to get just a couple weeks ago.  I think once this cold is gone she will be a great night time sleeper, at least for a little while.
